Stadig CG Wells, ME

Wells Maine – Stadig Campground
This 4th of July weekend, we decided to spend it on the Maine coast. a little walking, a little biking. We quickly packed and headed up the coast to Stadig CG in Wells, ME. Pretty much in the center of of the Ogunquit, wells, Kennybunkport area. We’ve stayed in the Stadig CG previously. It’s not a fancy place, no pool, no activities for kids, just a nice quiet atmosphere for adults. Seems a lot of seasonal sites too. the owners are great too. “let’s get that RV parked first and we’ll worry about the paperwork later” was Mike, the owner’s, first into.
We spent the first day biking around Wells and down to Ogunquit as it was great weather.
On Sat the 4th we drove back to Ogunquit with the Jeep and walked around the shops , some Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar tasting, before having dinner and watching the fireworks on the beach. We had a spectacular viewpoint, and was able to walk back to the Jeep and miss all the snarled traffic.

Sunday morning we elected to walk/hike in the Wells Barren Reserve at Laudholm.

A beautiful conservation area well over 250 acres. It has various trails from a short hike to long connected loops that take you through the whole reserve.

Sunday we shopped in Kennybunkport, a place we love to go back to. Walked along the beach, back downtown for some ice cream, and finally back home to the RV. We then had a nice jog around the neighborhood before settling in for the evening.
All in all, great weather and a wonderful weekend.
